Is your beef aged or matured?
To ensure maximum tenderness and a deep, rich flavour, our premium beef cuts are traditionally matured and aged to perfection. This ageing process allows the fibres of the meat to naturally break down, resulting in a beautifully tender texture and a concentrated, traditional steakhouse-style flavour that you won’t find in standard supermarket beef.
What breed of cattle do you use for your beef?
We specialise heavily in premium Aberdeen Angus beef. We choose Aberdeen Angus because it is globally renowned for its exceptional natural intramuscular fat marbling. This marbling is key to quality beef; it melts beautifully during cooking, basting the meat from the inside out to deliver an incredibly juicy, tender, and deeply flavorful dining experience.
Is your beef delivered fresh, and can it be frozen?
Yes, all of our beef joints, steaks, and mince are butchered fresh to order and delivered chilled, never pre-frozen. Because it arrives in specialised temperature-controlled insulated packaging, it is completely fresh and safe to cook straight away, or you can portion it out and freeze it at home for a later date.
What is the difference between your standard Beef range and Mill Close Beef?
Both ranges offer absolute premium, restaurant-quality meat. While our Mill Close Beef comes exclusively from our own pedigree herd on our home farm, the standard Premium Beef range is curated Aberdeen Angus sourced from trusted suppliers. Every cut across both ranges is hand-selected and expertly prepared by the exact same master butchers.
